Congress Venue



The 21st World Congress of Dermatology will be held at the La Rural Convention Center (Avenida Sarmiento 2704, Buenos Aires). It is a modern conference center, professionally equipped with top technology and staffed to meet all needs for a successful international meeting. It has an excellent location and accessibility from every corner of the city. It is easily accessible by car (parking under the Convention Center), by local city bus or by subway (line D); the station is called “Plaza Italia”

Dates
The Congress will be held from Sunday, September 30 to Friday, October 5, 2007.
Registrations start Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 14.00 h to 19.00 h.
Opening Ceremony, Sunday, September 30, 2007.
Ancillary Meetings will be held as from Saturday, September 29, 2007.

Hotel accommodation and tours
The hotel accommodation and excursions form is available on the website. However, due to the high number of delegates expected in Buenos Aires for this Congress, we do encourage you to contact the Official Travel Agency well in advance for groups and block bookings.

Official languages
All sessions will be in English. Simultaneous translation will be provided at the Plenary Sessions.

Technical Exhibition
A large space is available for the Pharmaceutical Exhibition, which will take place during the Congress. Its location will be integrated with the main Congress areas; it will be a major component of the Congress.
The exhibition will offer an excellent opportunity for companies to display their products and for delegates to become aware of the newest medicines, equipment and technologies. Representatives will be happy to answer all your questions.
The exhibition will be open every day from 9:00 to 18:00 h for delegates only.

Additionally, the industry will present new insights at the Sponsored and Satellite Symposia taking place during the days of the Congress.

Lunch
Lunches are not included in the registration fee. A large number of restaurants and a Food Court can be found at the Venue.

Shuttle Bus Service
Shuttle Bus Service will be available for Congress participants between the Congress Venue and all official Hotels.

Web
You can check the Scientific Program and its progress; get information about Buenos Aires, Argentina, accommodation and tours, and register on line. You will be also able to submit your abstract on line.

Official Invitation
The official invitation can be obtained through the Congress web site (General Information Section). This invitation implies no obligation, financial or otherwise, by the Congress. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential attendees raise travel funds or obtain a visa.

Insurance
Delegates are advised to arrange personal travel, health and accident insurance prior to travelling to the Congress. The Congress Organizers cannot accept liability for personal injury, or loss/damage to property and belongings of delegates or accompanying persons, either during or as a result of the Congress or during the tours or your stay in Argentina. It is, therefore, recommended that participants arrange their own personal health, accident and travel insurance.

Name Badges
A name badge will be provided on-site with the Congress documentation. Wearing this badge is required in order to enter the session rooms and all other organized events.
The cost of replacing a lost or mislaid badge: US$ 30.

CME Credits
Continuing Medical Education credits will be offered by some medical academies. Participants may register for CME credits on arrival.

Courses
The courses are subject to an additional registration fee of US$ 30 (half day course) and US$ 50 (all day course). Please indicate once you have registered which course you wish to attend. The number of places is limited. See list on page 33 and fill in the corresponding section of the registration form.

Certificates of Attendance
Certificates of attendance will be provided for participants upon request.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is not allowed in any meeting rooms, exhibition, or poster areas, including hospitality rooms, registration area, restrooms, and halls.

Internet Center
An internet center to check your mails will be located in the exhibition area, and will be open throughout the congress.
