Social Program I

Delegates accompanying persons are warmly invited to Buenos Aires to join the exclusive program specially designed for them. Buenos Aires has everything to turn your visit into unforgettable experiences.

The Program includes:

- Admission to the Accompanying persons lounge: Registered accompanying persons may visit or rest at the Accompanying Persons lounge.
Hostesses will readily answer any questions and provide information of general interest, magazines and newspapers.
- Access to the Technical Exhibition on the LAST DAY ONLY (Friday, October 5).
- Access to the Opening Ceremony and Welcoming Reception: the former will be held at the Convention Center, on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 18.30 h. Following the Opening Ceremony, a Welcoming Reception will be held at the Exhibition area of the Convention Center.
- Access to the Closing Ceremony

- Buenos Aires City Tour: Visit the Buenos Aires parks and avenues and its main monuments and buildings as well as the principal neighborhoods. This tour will feature the main places of interest in the city beginning with the historic Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosada (Government House), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Congress Building, before proceeding to the old colonial district of San Telmo, an area of historic attractions housing many antique shops. The tour continues to the picturesque Barrio de La Boca, and on to the historic Customs House, the War Ministry and Plaza San Martín to La Recoleta, one of the most elegant districts of Buenos Aires, including visits to the Pilar Church and the Cultural Center (once the Monastery of the Recoletos monks). The return trip includes the Law School, the Decorative Arts Museum and the Colón Opera House.

- Tigre and the Delta of the Paraná River (full day): The tour rolls along the Costanera (Riverside Road) and Avenida del Libertador visiting some of the residential suburbs of Buenos Aires: Olivos, La Lucila and San Isidro. Once in Tigre, visitors will board a typical boat for a trip along the rivers and streams of the Delta of the Paraná River, 14,000 square kilometers of rain forest with thousand of islands and islets. Lunch is included.

- Possibility of buying tickets for the Congress Closing Party: unique party on Thursday, October 4, 2007, from 20.00 to midnight. Tickets required, limited attendance. It is advisable to purchase tickets in advance. Fee: US$ 95
